Program Summary:
EmpowerHER is a transformative 12-week program designed to empower newcomer female-identified youth (ages 16-24) by enhancing their employability, providing mental health support, and fostering community connections. This initiative equips participants with essential skills and resources to improve their employment prospects while promoting mental well-being, understanding our roles as treaty people in Canada, and cultivating a sense of belonging.

Our comprehensive program includes activities that focus on:
- Employability Skills: Hands-on workshops on resume writing, interview techniques, and job search strategies.
- Mental Health Support: Weekly workshops on resilience, stress management, and self-care.
- Practical Learning: Mock interviews, peer feedback sessions, and networking opportunities to enhance confidence and preparedness.
- Financial Literacy: Basics of budgeting and financial planning through guest speakers.
- Community Engagement: Volunteering opportunities to build networks and connections.
- Cultural Understanding: Insights from Indigenous knowledge keepers on community values and our roles as treaty people.
- Personal Development: Reflection exercises and one-on-one feedback sessions to track growth.
